Common CS2 aim solutions

Most tickets we get fall into a handful of buckets. If you're hitting one of these, try the quick fix below before writing in — it'll save you the wait.

  • Loader stuck on "waiting for cs2.exe": launch the game through Steam directly, not through a desktop shortcut to the old CS:GO binary.
  • Overlay doesn't appear: open the menu with Insert, check that the active config isn't set to all-off. The default config ships with sensible toggles.
  • OBS or Discord catches the overlay: enable Stream Mode in the menu — anything we draw is hidden from external capture.
  • Antivirus blocks the installer: add the install folder to your exclusion list. Windows Defender accepts our signature; third-party products sometimes don't.
  • Aim feels off after a Valve patch: wait for the auto-updater to pull the new build. Recoil profiles are re-fitted to every CS2 update.
